Sometimes getting an objective third party opinion can be extremely helpful. If a there is a pattern of thinking or acting that is a problem, it can be a difficult and lonely business trying to change it on your own. Counseling can often help.
Do counseling, psychotherapy and therapy all mean the same thing?
Generally, yes. They all refer to "talk therapy" where speaking with an objective third party is used to overcome and work through problems.
Does it matter what therapist I see?
I believe so. The better the "fit" the better the results.
Do you see people from all over the Tampa Bay area or just Tampa?
I see people from all over the Tampa Bay Area, including Hillsborough, Pinellas, Pasco and Polk Counties . I am located very near downtown Tampa so my office is accessible for most people.
